dataSpring Korea conducted a syndicated study to understand the Korean Wave phenomenon among Gen Zs in Southeast Asian countries. There have been other studies on the Korean Wave abroad, but dataSpring Korea narrowed its focus to Gen Z in 6 Southeast Asian countries to study the generation's Korean content consumption, perceptions of Korea, and behavior toward Korean products.
This study surveyed a total of 1,908 people, male and female aged 15-29, from 6 Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand, for 6 days from August 29 to September 4, 2022.
