I. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Multimedia Designer is a staff level position, who reports directly to the Digital Marketing Manager and works as part of the Global Marketing team. The Multimedia Designer’s main task is to create the visual materials required by the team’s day-to-day operations. This role is also a key contributor when it comes to online content ideation and collaboration, not only as support for the marketing team but acting as a bridge between the Marketing and the Design team, for smoother communication and agile marketing executions.
II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Pricing Operations Tasks:
- Multimedia Production: In charge of visual content creation such as graphics, layouts, infographics, and short-form animated videos for the Global Marketing team. The coverage of this output includes social media, email marketing, eBooks, podcast promotion and development, as well as internal marketing material needs.
- Branding Expertise: Make sure that all materials adhere to dataSpring’s branding guidelines and brand persona.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality-check for all outputs before they are released to ensure they are error-free.
- Collaborate with fellow marketing team members in creating materials for marketing campaigns.
- Creative Conceptualization: Share ideas and strategies on visual content for the Global Marketing team’s reference and visibility.
- Trends and Knowledge: Be on the lookout for the latest trends and updates on visual content.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with and support the visual material needs of other Business Units that the Global Marketing team supports. This includes attending monthly meetings between the Marketing team and the Sales teams.
- Work closely with dataSpring’s UI/UX Design team for cross-collaboration output for website content and email content. This includes attending weekly meetings between the Marketing team and the Design team.
Common Activities:
- Constantly identifies financial and other risks to the Company and reports these quickly and accurately to Management.
- Maintains the public image of the Company.
- Functions as a cooperative and active member of weekly Global MarkeTeam and MarkeTeam meetings, preparing agendas beforehand and taking notes in the meeting.
- Prudently manages resources within budgetary guidelines to ensure profit.
- Completes other administrative work as required and acts as a key part of a small office.
III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- This is an office environment and typical physical demand applies.
- Must be open to working flexible hours in order to communicate efficiently with Global team members.
Minimum Qualifications Needed:
- Good working knowledge on the following:
1. Graphic Design for digital content (social media banners, blog images, website images, Google Ads/Social Media Ads visuals). Designs for on-site events (pull-up banners, brochures, and business cards).
2. Light video editing (short-form looped videos, animated videos, animating infographics, webinars, motion graphics, and other interactive types of materials).
3. Light production video for Q&A Interview style videos (a plus but not required). - Strong and solid understanding of design principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in multimedia editing software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, etc).
- Knowledgeable with the visual requirements of social media platforms - LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and Spotify.
- Experience with community management platforms such as Hubspot is a plus but not required.
- Good Project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to better communicate with other teams the requirements, updates, and descriptions of visual design output.
- Adaptability towards emerging trends and technologies that will contribute to the marketing team’s business objectives.
- Collaborative and a team player
- Photography is a plus but not required.
Education/Experience:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or other related fields
- 2-3 years experience in multimedia design (graphic design and light animated video editing).
- Experience as a multimedia designer working in a Marketing team (B2C or B2B).
- Experience in brand-building and/or working in Advertising and Marketing agencies, or start-ups, is a plus but not required.
- Production (video) experience is a plus but not required.
